Job Title: Student & Recreation Minister

Job Overview:
The Student Minister/Pastor leads the middle school and high school ministry, focusing on helping students grow in their relationship with Christ, develop a biblical worldview, and become disciples who actively live out their faith. This role involves teaching, mentoring, and equipping students while partnering with parents and volunteers to create a vibrant, Christ-centered student ministry.

This position is also responsible for leading and overseeing the church's recreation and sports ministry, using activities as a tool to build relationships, foster community, and share the gospel. This role involves organizing recreational programs, developing outreach initiatives, and supporting the overall mission of the church by promoting physical wellness and spiritual growth. The Recreation Minister/Director works collaboratively with church staff and volunteers to create a welcoming environment that encourages fellowship and discipleship.

The office of “pastor” shall only be entrusted to those meeting the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 2:12-3:7 and who have been ordained to the gospel ministry by this church or another like-minded congregation or denomination.

Qualifications:

A strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, marked by spiritual maturity and integrity as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4.

Agreement with the church’s statement(s) of faith and commitment to the church’s mission and values.

A passion for ministering to middle and high school students and helping them grow in their faith.

Experience in student ministry or a related field (preferred but not required).

Strong skills in teaching, communication, organization, and leadership.

Ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and build trusting relationships.

A bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
